Energy Transition Committee

Originally constituted as the Sustainability Subcommittee, the Energy Transition Committee is a three- member volunteer board appointed by the Board of Supervisors. The Committee promotes initiatives that enhance Solebury Township's efficiency today while safeguarding our community's future, guiding the development and implementation of the Energy Transition Plan (ETP).

The Energy Transition Committee works to transition community energy use to 100% renewable electricity by 2035 and clean energy for heating and transportation by 2050. It recommends projects, performance metrics, and budgets that support the ETP, while fostering community engagement and educational initiatives to ensure inclusive decision-making.
