Meet Zachary Zubris, Solebury's New Zoning Officer

Solebury Township has a new, full-time Zoning Officer. Zachary Zubris has joined the township's administrative staff to help guide residents and their contractors through the often complicated nuances of Solebury's Zoning Ordinance.

Formerly a consulting code enforcement and zoning officer in the Lehigh Valley, Zubris is a Pennsylvania-certified UCC Building Code Official and Zoning Officer. He earned a masters degree in public administration from Kutztown University.

"Here at Solebury, I have the opportunity to be a steward of excellent constituent service," Zubris said. "I want people to know we are always available to answer questions and provide insight while staying within the guides of the Zoning Ordinance."

The Zoning Officer administers the zoning ordinance and ensures that all construction and land use conforms to the zoning ordinance. This is no easy task in Solebury, with our numerous historical properties, winding roads that have changed paths over the decades, and the Township's long-standing commitment to environmental protection.

Among his many duties, Zubris' job includes answering questions from residents and contractors, performing research on specific properties, following-up on residents' concerns, monitoring compliance with Zoning Hearing Board decisions, and recommending changes and improvements to the Township Zoning Ordinance.

"Zoning can be confusing and intimidating, especially in an historic municipality like Solebury. I want to work with constituents, helping them to achieve their results as smoothly as possible," Zubris said.
