Solebury Township is seeking a qualified volunteer to fill an upcoming vacancy on the Township Board of Appeals. The Board of Appeals rules on matters related to the Uniform Construction Code, and each board member must be familiar with building construction through training or experience.
In order to avoid conflicts of interest, members of the Board of Supervisors and township code administrators may not serve on the Board of Appeals, and board members may not vote or participate in any hearing where they have a personal, professional or financial interest.
A Solebury resident with architectural, engineering or construction experience would be a perfect fit for this vacancy, so long as he or she is not frequently engaged in construction in the Township. Members of the Board of Appeals serve at the pleasure of the Township Board of Supervisors.
Anyone interested in applying for this vacancy should forward a letter of interest and/or resume to the attention of Gretchen Rice, Assistant Manager, or email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The 2016 budget for Solebury Township, as adopted by the Board of Supervisors at its Dec. 15 meeting, is available for review.
Solebury Township's bond rating has received another upgrade, this time from Moody's Investor Services, one of the "big three" rating agencies. Moody's raised Solebury's rating to Aa2 on Oct. 30. The rating agency cited the Township's improved financial management and stable tax base among the principal reasons for the upgrade.
